On this page, you will find information about how WPN keeps its players safe, information about how to access WPN’s refund and compensation policies, and a range of general account security advice.Game Integrity and Safety ProtocolsThe fight against bad actors using a variety of means to cheat is an ongoing battle for all online poker operators. We are committed to investing in staying ahead of these cheaters. As part of that commitment, we consistently review our security protocols and make changes and improvements based on feedback, player behavior and as a result of our continual investigations into suspicious play. Our current security protocols include:Mandatory player documentation updatesCaptcha technology and table pixelation changesSoftware that renders bots who use live data collection, such as PPL or OpenPPL, ineffective.Video-recorded sessions of players for pattern evaluation where play is matched to previous hand histories to compare results.Deep dives of hand and play history across all our games. The recent banning of virtual and remote access machinesIntroduction of features such as PLO Reshuffle, which puts folded hole cards back into the deck to reduce collusion opportunities.A recent partnership with GTO Wizard to enhance GTO analysis protocols and detection.Investment in tools that improve data analysis and detection capabilities.Game Integrity Bot Protocol ProcessAccounts that come under suspicion for breaking WPN’s Game Integrity and site policies are placed under investigation, with the accounts being suspended pending completion of the investigation. This process involves studying hundreds of hours of gameplay and hand histories, combined with video-recorded sessions of players to compare play behavior and results against past histories. Any account found to be in breach of the site rules is closed and banned, and any outstanding account funds that are found to have been won fraudulently from innocent players are redistributed to the affected players according to WPN’s refund and compensation policy. Player RefundsPlayers who lose money to bad actors are compensated according to WPN’s refund policy which can be found here. This year, WPN has banned the accounts found to be in breach of our policies and refunded affected players accordingly. Several hundred more accounts have been suspended, and investigations and refund processing will continue as an ongoing effort.Players due refunds are notified by email when compensation is available in their accounts, and the amounts can be confirmed in their financial history.Recent UpdatesIt’s WPN’s responsibility to stay vigilant and ensure we continue to evolve at pace to protect our players online. Below you will find more information about the latest efforts WPN has undertaken to protect the game.Reinstating Country of Origin After listening to player feedback, WPN made the decision to reinstate the country-of-origin feature on the poker client in March of 2024. This enables players to scroll over another player’s avatar username to see what the country of origin associated with that account is. Player country flagsGoing one step further, WPN will be instituting country flag icons that reflect the country of origin associated with the account on the game tables so fellow players can see immediately where each account is from. Our gameplay development team is working on this feature to be released in the months to come.
