Robert Kuhn

ACR Nickname: Rob Kuhn

Kuhn’s poker journey began at the age of 12, playing $5 tournaments with friends in the basement.

Originally from the sleepy village of Barnesville, Ohio, there’s nothing dull about Robert Kuhn. Whether he’s streaming online games or crushing in the live arena, this likable pro is certainly an interesting character.

Kuhn’s poker journey began at the age of 12, playing $5 tournaments with friends in the basement. But despite regularly cleaning up during his schooldays, he initially struggled when playing online as an adult. In fact, Kuhn confesses to having deposited no fewer than 106 times at one single poker room!

Things eventually turned around for Kuhn while in his second year of college, so much so that he made a prop bet with his own mother. If he could win $50,000 in three months, he would quit studying to play poker on a full-time basis. Kuhn went on to win a $320 buy-in event online shortly after, for a score of around $55,000. The rest, as they say, is history.

After the events of Black Friday, Kuhn moved to Mexico. But these days, he splits his time between Las Vegas, Michigan and the Mexican Riviera. You’ll often find him live streaming on his Twitch channel. But when he’s not beating up online games under his ACR handle “Rob Kuhn”, he also offers a poker coaching service.

Despite his online successes, Kuhn is no stranger to the live tables. In fact, he’s taken down some pretty big events in his time, including a WPT side event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida.

His biggest live poker achievement is undoubtedly the WSOP Circuit ring he earned in 2016, picking up $122,098 for his efforts. However, it’s online where Robert Kuhn dominates the most. So perhaps it was somewhat fitting that his first bracelet came during the 2020 WSOP that played out online.
