Chris Moorman

ACR Nickname: Moorman1

He has more than $6.5 million in prize money to his name, including a WPT title and two WSOP bracelets.

One of the most accomplished poker players in the world, Chris Moorman has earned over $20 million from online tournaments. A world No. 1 in the PocketFives rankings on multiple occasions, the Englishman is pretty handy in the live arena too. He has more than $6.5 million in prize money to his name, including a WPT title and two WSOP bracelets.

Moorman fell in love with poker while studying at the University of Essex, where he was already proving himself as a fierce competitor. Captain of the pool team, he would go on to win the National University Championship, having already represented his country at the card game Bridge.

Since those formative poker experiences, Moorman has gone on to achieve a number of impressive feats. A winner of the PocketFives Triple Crown an astonishing 30 times, no other player even comes close to that figure. The Essex native has also claimed two World Series of Poker titles, one in Vegas and the second online – naturally.

But perhaps his biggest achievement came in 2014, when he took down the WPT LA Poker Classic Main Event, for more than a million dollars in prize money. That success was not the first time Moorman secured a seven-figure score in a live tournament, either. In 2011, this European phenomenon finished as an unlucky runner-up to Elio Fox in the WSOPE Main Event.

In November 2021, Moorman joined the ACR Poker Team, alongside spouse Katie Lindsay. In doing so, they became the first-ever husband and wife combo to sign for a poker site. Of this, he said: “It’s an incredible feeling to join the ACR team. It validates all the hard work I’ve put into poker over the years.”
