Jeff Madsen will appear alongside long-time commentator Norman Chad
The 15th annual Ante 4 Autism charity poker tournament will be held in Las Vegas later this month to raise money for a worthy cause. The South Point Hotel & Casino will host the No-Limit Hold ’em event on Saturday, July 29.
Ante 4 Autism events always attract celebrity players such as former WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Madsen and commentator Norman Chad. Other popular pros playing at this year’s event are William Hung, Kenna James, and Chip Jett. World Series of Poker (WSOP) all-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth is unable to attend but has contributed to the Ante 4 Autism event as a donor.
The $15,000 guaranteed prize pool will be divided among the top nine players, and the Ante 4 Autism website will also auction off seven lavish trips the night of the event. These include a seven-night Mexican vacation for a minimum bid of $2,250.
Proceeds from the Ante 4 Autism event benefit five autism charities: Project FOCUS at the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at UNLV, The Hope Fund, The Rich Center for Autism, National Autism Association of Southeast Ohio, and Autism Speaks.
The Ante 4 Autism charity event at South Point is expected to host many celebrity players this year. Ante 4 Autism founder Doug Krinsky commented in a press release: “Karina Jett, one of the Co-Hosts, does a great job of arranging celebrities to play each year, and we look forward to our celebrity friends joining us.”
Krinsky founded the charity event in 2009 in Las Vegas, which is held every January at the Golden Nugget. He and his wife Kelly also founded Beat Autism Now, Inc., a non-profit organization, in 2008. As of February 2019, the Ante 4 Autism event has raised over $712,000.
