The victory comes not long after he took down the WPT World Championship
Scott Stewart has been making waves in the poker world, securing his seventh WSOP Circuit (WSOPC) ring at Thunder Valley Casino just one month after his incredible win at the WPT World Championship.
Stewart, who took home $2.5 million from the World Poker Tour event, didn’t take long to get back into action. He entered WSOPC Event #11, a $600 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max, and emerged victorious, pocketing $16,980. His ability to remain grounded after such a major win was apparent as he was more than willing to play in the lower buy-in event.
This win brought Stewart’s total live tournament earnings to $5.57 million, a large portion of which has come in recent weeks, further showcasing his impressive run in the poker scene. It wasn’t just a one-time victory. Four days after winning his seventh ring, Stewart collected another win in WSOPC Event #16: $400 The Finale. For this victory, he earned an additional $7,290.
While most players might splurge after such a massive win, Stewart’s plans are surprisingly low-key. He joked about wanting a golf cart wrapped in a Jurassic Park theme to drive around, showing that despite his big wins, he hasn’t lost his sense of humor and grounded nature.
With these wins, Stewart’s form is looking sharp, and his poker career is in full swing. The WSOPC Thunder Valley festival has concluded, but the next stop on the circuit is already underway. The Main Event at Horseshoe Tunica is set to begin, and many will be keeping an eye on Stewart as he continues to add to his already impressive tournament record.
