The host of the Snack Attack Podcast is on his way to the big game
Clyde “Snack Attack” Gaskins, one of the most recognized poker dealers in Las Vegas, is heading from the box to the felt after winning a seat in the upcoming North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Las Vegas Main Event. Gaskins was dealing during the Poker Masters Showcase, a tournament that attracted 128 entrants. Unknown to him, every participant — including dealers — was entered into a random drawing for an NAPT Main Event seat. When PokerGO’s Tim Duckworth announced the giveaway, staff and players watched the digital wheel spin, and to everyone’s surprise, it landed on Gaskins’ name.
The moment sparked a wave of cheers. Gaskins threw his hands up in celebration as players and staff, including PokerGO founder Cary Katz, rushed to congratulate him. “It’s indescribable, it’s unbelievable,” Gaskins told PokerGO afterward, still processing the unexpected win. Even Aria Tournament Director Paul Campbell, known for his calm demeanor, couldn’t hide a smile.
“I was dealing and saw the wheel slowing down toward my name,” Gaskins recalled. “I thought it would stop one short, but it hit me. I jumped for joy. I’m not usually a lucky guy, so I couldn’t believe it.” The room’s reaction, full of applause and high-fives, left him emotional. “Everyone was rooting for me, and that’s something I’ll never forget,” he said.
Gaskins, who has six World Series of Poker cashes and over $112,000 in lifetime earnings, gained wider recognition after appearing on Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, where he shared his story of recovering from a quadruple bypass surgery. Now, he’ll take his shot on poker’s big stage when the NAPT Las Vegas kicks off November 3–12 at Resorts World, promising fans updates from the felt on his YouTube channel.
