The longtime player finally finds his rhythm, adding his name to an exclusive list
The list of poker players on the “Best Without a Bracelet” list just got a bit shorter as longtime pro Shannon Shorr shipped the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online – Domestic Bracelet #17 – $2,000 NLH 6-Max event on Sunday night to win $89,125.78 and his first piece of WSOP hardware.
Since his first tournament cash in 2006, Shorr has over $12 million in career live earnings. He denied heads-up opponent Maxx “Mc4chess” Coleman of his third bracelet as the runner-up, as he would take home $55,069.87. Other notable players at this final table included Daniel “Lenny1” Heimiller (8th for $7,867.12), Eric “circleball” Baldwin (6th for $14,055.93), and Maximilian “Schindlebot” Schindler (5th for $18,985.99).
This first bracelet was a memorable win for Shor, who made sure his camera was on to record the action. Shorr shared the tournament’s final hand on social media, as Coleman was all in with pocket deuces against his ace-jack.
Shorr looked anxious as he awaited a jack on the turn to give him the lead, followed by a blank river card as he ran over to hug his wife to celebrate his victory. “That happened, holy sh**,” said Shorr in disbelief. “Oh my god. Wow.”
Daniel “StayActive” Chan won his second bracelet in the WSOP Online Bracelet #16 – $400 Colossus for $61,125.40 after taking the WSOP Online Bracelet #13 – $500 NLH for $51,197.67 a few days earlier.
Other bracelet winners in the WSOP Online US series include Qinghai “011POKERDR” Pan (WSOP Online Bracelet #15 – $500 NLH Bounty Freezeout for $42,875.41), Guy “PhilLaak” Dunlap (WSOP Online Bracelet #14 – $1,000 NLH Bounty Freezeout for $24,329.58) and Jesse “Patient0” Yaginuma (WSOP Online Bracelet #12 – NLH 6-Max for $80,612.12).
