The older sibling shipped the $10,000 Dealer’s Choice Championship for over $330,000

Robert Mizrachi outlasted 124 players to secure a $333,045 payday as the winner of this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 Dealer’s Choice Championship. He becomes just the 38th player to win at least five bracelets, tying the total of his younger brother, Michael’ The Grinder’ Mizrachi.

Robert Mizrachi’s first bracelet was won in 2007 at the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha championship for $894,100. He took his second in 2014 after winning the WSOP’s first dealer’s choice event for $147,092. The following year, he won a $1,500 Omaha eight-or-better event for $251,022 and took his fourth in 2016 at the $10,000 stud championship for $242,662.

This latest championship brings his career winnings to over $9.2 million, half of which was earned from 93 WSOP cashes. His biggest cash was $894,000, which he won at the 2022 World Poker Tour Venetian main event.

Several notable bracelet winners came up short of the final table in this event, including John Monnette (15th), Nick Schulman (13th), Phil Ivey (11th), and Daniel Negreanu (10th).

The three-day event was extended to a fourth day to play down to a champion. Richard Bai (6th for $52,985), David Back (5th for $71,476), and Ben Lamb (4th for $99,885) would all be eliminated before Day 3 wrapped up.

Mizrachi was the chip leader among the final three, with Michael Martinelli close behind. Ryutaro Suzuki was the first player eliminated on Day 4 after Martinelli’s jacks up sent him to the rail with $144,431 for third place.

Mizrachi had about a 2:1 chip lead before the final hand of pot-limit deuce-to-seven triple draw lowball. Mizrachi’s nine low earned him the title, with Martinelli securing $215,848 as runner-up for the biggest score of his career.
