It’s her first win since Garrett Adelstein accused her of cheating in 2022
After winning a $500 buy-in tournament at Thunder Valley Casino Resort Monday night, Robbi Jade Lew trolled the poker pro who once accused her of cheating, Garrett Adelstein. After winning the tournament with A-J, she removed the ace and replaced it with a four in the winner’s photo to show J4.
The 8-max No-Limit Hold ’em event drew 89 players in the one-day event. Lew would take home the $11,115 top prize after defeating Barry Birdwell heads-up. He would receive $7,410 as runner-up.
Lew was planning to leave town after busting in the World Poker Tour (WPT) Rolling Thunder Championship earlier this week, but her decision to stay one more day paid off pretty well. “There’s (sic) two things that have to happen when winning tournaments — you have to play well and run well,” said Lew. “That’s really what it comes down to — make the right calls, make the right folds, and it just so happened it went down for me.”
The last time Lew won a poker event was at Hustler Casino Live in September 2022, prior to last year’s cheating blowup. During the infamous Hustler Casino Live stream almost 18 months ago, Adelstein accused Lew of cheating him to win a six-figure pot. She has always said the accusations are false, while he remains in disagreement. J4 was the hand she was playing at the time.
Adelstein left the stream that night and hasn’t played on the famous live-streamed poker show since. In 2023, Hustler Casino Live co-owners Ryan Feldman and Nick Vertucci made it clear in 2023 that Adelstein won’t be invited back any time soon.
