The $25,000 buy-in game delivered a first prize of $480,000 and another title for Rast
Brian Rast added another major title to his résumé by winning the $25,000 10-Game Championship at the PokerGO Tour Mixed Games series. The Poker Hall of Famer topped a 64-entry field to earn $480,000 and the trophy, continuing a career marked by success in high-stakes mixed formats.
Rast, 44, has been selective with his tournament appearances in recent years, but his results remain strong. The seven-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner now has nearly $29.2 million in live earnings. This victory marked his third cash of the series, pushing his total haul for the festival past $500,000.
The championship generated a $1.6 million prize pool, with the top 10 players paid. The final day began with 19 contenders, and the money bubble burst when John Racener was eliminated in Badugi. Notables such as Gus Hansen and Eric Wasserson fell before the official final table stream began.
Rast entered the seven-handed finale near the top of the chip counts, while Yuri Dzivielevski held the early lead. Matthew Wantman exited in seventh, followed by Ariel Mantel and Justin Liberto. Four-handed play lasted more than an hour before the field narrowed further.
With momentum building, Rast surged ahead during five- and four-handed action. Ryan Miller finished fourth, and Philip Sternheimer took third after losing a key Badugi hand to Rast. That set up a heads-up match between Rast and Dzivielevski.
Rast began heads-up play with a commanding chip advantage and quickly closed it out in Badugi. Dzivielevski earned $312,000 for second place and later secured the overall series points title.
