Gary Cordeiro has been finding his own success at the poker tables lately
Poker content creator and PokerStars ambassador Marle Spragg had a special reason to celebrate this week, and it had nothing to do with her own results. Her father, Gary Cordeiro, scored a tournament win in Las Vegas, showing that poker skill clearly runs in the family.

Cordeiro took down a $200 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo event at Wynn Las Vegas. The win came after a heads-up deal and earned him $4,922. The timing made it even better, as the victory landed on Spragg’s birthday.
Spragg shared the moment online, praising her father’s dedication to improving his game. She noted that he has been putting in real work at the tables, and the results are starting to show. The post quickly picked up support from fans and fellow players.
Cordeiro is no newcomer to live poker success. He has recorded nearly $79,000 in lifetime tournament earnings dating back to 2004. Earlier this year, he also won a $150 Monster Stack event at the Orleans, adding another trophy to his resume.
His recent run extends beyond local events. Cordeiro cashed twice at the 2025 World Series of Poker and also made a deep run in the PokerStars Open Main Event at EPT Monte Carlo. He even teamed up with Spragg for the WSOP Tag Team event, where they finished in the money together.
Spragg has built a strong career of her own, with over $500,000 in live earnings and a growing presence in poker media. Their shared success places them among a long list of poker families who have thrived across generations.
Parent-child duos have become a familiar sight in modern poker. From the Brunsons to newer family teams winning major events, the trend continues. Cordeiro’s latest win adds another chapter to that ongoing story.
