The New Jersey pro added another $1.3 million to his bank
Michael Wang added a major highlight to his poker résumé by capturing his third World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet, winning the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and collecting a career-best $1,394,579. The 36-year-old New Jersey native outlasted a field of 874 entries to claim the title, just weeks after scoring a then-personal record $555,528 at the Wynn Summer Classic.
Wang’s path to victory wasn’t without setbacks. Late on Day 3, he was nearly eliminated after losing a big pot to Erik Seidel, leaving him with less than one big blind. But he fought back, surviving with multiple double-ups to end the day near the top of the chip counts. By the start of the final table, Wang was in strong position and ultimately held off a tough field that included Quan Zhou, Michael Zulker, and three-time bracelet winner Alex Foxen.
The final day began with seven players and saw quick action. Foxen was first to exit, falling to Wang’s quads. Wang kept the pressure on, eliminating Sean Rafael in fourth place with a full house, and later sending Zhou to the rail in third with aces holding up. That left Wang heads-up against Zulker, who had already locked in a career-best payday.

In the final hand, Wang’s jacks full of tens held strong against Zulker’s tens full of aces, sealing the win after a back-and-forth battle. Zulker walked away with $929,688.
This latest bracelet pushes Wang’s live tournament earnings past $9.1 million. With two titles and multiple final tables this year, he’s also climbing in Player of the Year standings—ranked 21st on the Card Player leaderboard and 11th in the PokerGO Tour rankings.
Wang’s win underscores his versatility and resilience, and further cements his reputation as one of poker’s most consistent performers.
