High-stakes cash game specialist Garrett Adelstein ended his self-imposed fifteen-month exile after the incident with Robbie Jade Lew in one of the most notorious poker hands in history, returning to the tables on Bally Poker Live.
Adelstein sat down against a table that included Hustler Casino Live celebrity Prince Charles, Patrik Antonius, Eric Persson and several others. The $100,000 buy-in $200/$400 stakes would have some tense moments, but it was Adelstein’s return that brought more than 16,500 viewers to the stream.
Adelstein sat down at the table with a slight nod to acknowledge his absence, paying the $135,000 buy-in, which was the same amount Lew returned to him in the infamous Jack-Four hand. After winning his first hand back, Adelstein quickly made his famous move and added another $500,000 to cover the table.
If Adelstein had any rust when he began the night, he got rid of it in a few hours after executing a three-street bluff vs. Antonius, which was a statement to let everyone know that he was back.
In the end, Adelstein came away as the big winner. According to Highroll Poker, a high-stakes tracking site, he came out $132,600 ahead for the night, placing him as the top winner of the event. Adelstein also had a 46% VPIP (Voluntarily Put $ In Pot), making him the third most active among the eight players who sat down.
