The poker pro now has five MSPT titles to his credit
Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Hall of Famer and Minnesota poker legend Blake Bohn has become the first player to win five MSPT events following the most recent tournament at Ameristar East Chicago. He was the last player standing from a field of 557 players, taking the top prize of $113,146 to reach almost $1 million in MSPT cashes and go over $4 million in lifetime earnings.
Bohn picked up his fourth win at the MSPT Winter Poker Classic in December 2022, outlasting over 1,000 players at the Running Aces event for $181,864. He followed that up with a first-place finish at the Big Stack Challenge in Columbus, MN, to take home $73,697, and finished 24th at the $25,000 buy-in PokerStars Players Championship for $107,500.
Bohn would then earn two cashes at the WSOP before placing second in July’s MSPT Iowa State Poker Championship for $92,156.
Bohn got his first MSPT victory in August 2014 after beating 201 entrants at MSPT Main Event 49 at Grand Falls Casino in South Dakota. He would pick up his second a year later at Meskwaki Casino in Iowa at MSPT Main Event 69 over 410 players before finishing 23rd at the 2015 WSOP Main Event.
Three years would pass before Bohn would win his third Minnesota title at Canterbury Park in Main Event 133 after previously finishing second in the same tournament.
Bohn’s fourth title would come more than four years later at the Winter Poker Classic in December 2022, tying him with Dan Bekavac. He’s now the only player to reach five wins on the MSPT after his 13th top-ten result and 36th tour cash.
