This summer has seen several poker regulars become repeat WSOP Circuit winners
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) all-time ring list has been updated again, with veteran Circuit pro Ari Engel winning his 13th ring, tying him with Daniel Lowery for third place. The all-time Circuit ring list has changed so frequently in recent months that keeping up with the changes has been challenging.
Engel’s win at the $215 buy-in Event #12 – $20,000 NLH 6-Max as part of the last WSOP Michigan Circuit Super Series earned him his 13th career ring. The online event attracted 162 participants and ended with Engel winning heads-up against “Meekmills,” who many think is veteran player Millard Hale, to win the top prize of $8,926. The runner-up was awarded $5,832.
In April, Wisconsin player Josh Reichard won his 14th Circuit ring, tying Maurice Hawkins at the top of the list. Then in May, Hawkins won his 15th ring to regain the lead before his recent deep run in the 2023 WSOP Main Event.
In the meantime, Lowery won three rings in four months to surpass Engel and move into third place, behind only Hawkins and Reichard. Engel is now tied with Lowery in the race for most Circuit rings of all time, which is still going strong.
A two-time WSOP bracelet winner, Engel won his first Circuit ring in 2007 when he finished first at the $300 No-Limit Hold ’em event at WSOPC Atlantic City to win $63,018. Engel won his 12th ring in a $500 WSOPC NV/NJ PLO event in February 2022, earning him $14,412.
