Ari Engel adds second WSOPC ring this week move into first-place tie

Almost immediately after moving into a second-place tie, Engel scored another WSOPC win

Ari Engel’s recent dominant play isn’t slowing down as he continues to rack up rings. Just a few weeks after winning his 13th World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) ring, he won his 14th ring at WSOPC Graton, tying Josh Reichard for second on the career Circuit ring list. Then, 24 hours later, Engel tied for the all-time lead after winning his 15th ring, equaling Maurice Hawkins.

Engel earned number 14 in Event #10: $400 H.O.R.S.E. taking home $6,647, and posted on social media that among the small field of 60 entries, “I was 2 of them.” He then proceeded to take down the following event, Event #11: $400 Pot-Limit Big O, to win his 15th ring and $6,564.

Engel’s streak started a few weeks ago after winning his 13th ring in an online event that was part of the WSOP Michigan Circuit Super Series, tying Daniel Lowery (who appeared in Engel’s winner’s photo) for third place on the list. This latest victory by Engel ties him with Hawkins for first place on the all-time WSOPC ring list, who won his 15th ring in a WSOPC Cherokee high roller event in May.

Engel also has two WSOP bracelets after winning Event #48: $2,500 No-Limit Hold ’em for $427,399 in 2019 and Event #9: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship in 2021 for $317,076.

The WSOPC Graton series started on August 10 and will continue through August 21, with several events remaining on the agenda, including the $1,700 buy-in Main Event that begins on August 18.
