The 2026 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo reached a thrilling conclusion as Albert Daher triumphed in the high-stakes High Roller for One Drop event. This prestigious tournament attracted a field of 76 entries, establishing a new record for participation in a six-figure buy-in competition at this tour stop. By outlasting some of the most prominent names in professional poker, Daher claimed the title and a top prize of $2,404,350. The event was not only a professional milestone for the participants but also a significant charitable success, raising over $262,000 to support the mission of the One Drop Foundation in providing global access to safe water.
A massive prize pool of $8,536,320 was distributed among the top 11 finishers, reflecting the elite nature of the competition. Daher entered the final day of play among the chip leaders and maintained a dominant presence at the table by scoring multiple knockouts.
He eliminated several formidable opponents, including Artsiom Lasouski and Teun Mulder, to consolidate his position. His run was marked by what he described as incredible luck, hitting crucial cards during pivotal hands that allowed him to navigate a final table featuring all-time money leaders like Bryn Kenney and Stephen Chidwick.
The tournament concluded with a lopsided heads-up battle between Daher and Chidwick. Entering the final match with a significant chip advantage, Daher eventually secured the win when his pocket fours improved to a set on the flop against the king-high of Chidwick.
While Chidwick took home $1,551,069 for his second-place finish, Daher walked away with the second-largest score of his career. Other notable payouts included $1,107,990 for Leonardo Drago in third place and $852,345 for Bryn Kenney in fourth. This victory provides Daher with substantial momentum as the 2026 tournament season continues.
