The WSOPC Thunder Valley ran from September 28 to October 9, featuring 13 Circuit ring events and a prize pool of nearly $1 million. The Main Event drew 594 players with an $899,910 prize pool as Persky beat Tracy Oto heads-up, sending him home with $105,550 for second place.

This most recent victory earned Persky a second WSOPC title and gold ring. He competed for the top prize at the Graton Main Event’s final table with Xing Wei, Jonathan Wang, John Koo, Derrick Geliberte and Fan You (Event No.2: $400 No-Limit Hold’em-The Opener’s champion).

Including his two gold rings, Persky has four WSOP cashes, taking second in the WSOPC Graton Event No. 3: $600 No-Limit Hold’em for $54,900, and finishing 20th in the WSOPC Graton opening tournament for $1,077.

Other pros, such as San Diego’s Valentin Vornicu, won big at the WSOPC Thunder Valley. He won his 13th Circuit ring and the $11,000 first-place prize in Event No.9: $600 2-7 Triple Draw and is fifth on the all-time list with Daniel Lowery, Josh Reichard, Maurice Hawkins, and Ari Engel, who leads with 16 rings.
