Christopher Wilson won two straight events, earning his first and second WSOPC rings
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) stop at Caesars Southern Indiana wrapped up after nearly two weeks of competitive action, and despite being one of the smaller venues on the calendar, it delivered a few standout moments. Chief among them was the performance of Christopher Wilson, who managed to win back-to-back events—earning his first and second WSOPC rings in quick succession.
The festival, which serves as the penultimate stop of the 2024/2025 WSOPC season, faced competition from the larger WSOP Circuit Commerce event happening at the same time. While turnout in Indiana was on the modest side, the atmosphere remained competitive, and several players made their mark before the series closed early Tuesday.
Wilson’s achievement came as a surprise to many, as winning back-to-back events on the circuit is a rare feat, especially for a player capturing their first two rings. Meanwhile, in the women’s event, veteran Pam Belote came close to extending her record for most rings won by a female player but ultimately fell short, finishing runner-up to Susan Murphey in heads-up play.
The highlight of the festival was the $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, where Ulises Roman outlasted a field of 250 players to claim the top prize of $84,399 and his first WSOPC ring. The final table was packed with experienced circuit regulars, including Trace Henderson and Bradford Albrinck—both three-time ring winners—whom Roman had to overcome to secure the title.
With Caesars Southern Indiana now in the rearview, only the WSOP Circuit Commerce remains before the new season kicks off. Players and fans are already turning their attention to the 2025 World Series of Poker, which is set to begin shortly after the final hands are played in California.
