The tournament will be held next month and offers a wide range of prizes
The World Series of Poker has announced that Pennsylvania players will have an opportunity to win gold in its official bracelet event being held on October 15. The Pennsylvania online event will be a Mystery Bounty tournament with a $1,100 buy-in and a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool. The event will also be available to Michigan players in a separate pool.
Mystery bounty prizes are sometimes comparable to final table payouts, adding more excitement to the tournament as players anticipate opening their envelopes to discover what prize they’ve won. The Mystery Bounty will award prizes to players eliminated starting at level 18, with a top bounty of $21,000. Two additional bounties will be worth $9,000, and four more will pay a $3,000 prize.
Philadelphia poker player Pat Jankowski expressed his excitement to PlayPennsylvania. “I can’t wait for this tournament. I am glad we get a chance to win a bracelet here in Pennsylvania,” he said.
Entrants will begin with 30,000 in chips and are permitted three re-buys in the first 270 minutes after play starts. The event winner will earn the cash prize and bracelet, a WSOP Paradise Package that includes their $5,300 buy-in, five nights at Atlantis in the Bahamas and cash for travel expenses. Several last-minute bracelets will also be up for grabs before the year is up.
The WSOP Paradise series includes 15 bracelet events from December 3 – 14. Tournament buy-ins range from $1,000 to $100,000, with a total guaranteed prize pool of $50 million. The entire event schedule and details about the main event structure are available on the WSOP website.
