The shooting appears to have been caused by an argument between known rivals
Players and fans attending the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) were shaken Sunday night following a shooting incident just steps away from the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, where the tournament is currently underway. The chaos unfolded across the street near the Bellagio Fountains on the Las Vegas Strip, prompting an intense police response and rattling the poker community.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed it was responding to a shooting on the 3600 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. Early information points to an altercation involving two YouTube personalities, reportedly escalating into gunfire. Social media posts quickly identified the suspected shooter as a content creator known as SinCity-MannyWise, who allegedly fired multiple shots at another online figure, Finny Da Legend.

Footage from the scene captured the harrowing moments: a man in a white cap pulls a firearm and fires several rounds in front of stunned bystanders. One video shows a woman confronting the man moments before the shooting began. Other clips show people fleeing in panic and injured individuals on the ground. According to reports, at least one person was fatally shot.
In response, police shut down traffic along the Strip in front of several major casinos, including the Bellagio. Though the shooting happened outside, not within any resort, the area was locked down for public safety.
Inside the WSOP venues, the tournament schedule continued without disruption, but players and staff were visibly rattled. Many took to social media, advising others to stay inside their hotels and avoid the Strip.
This incident is the latest in a series of violent scares connected to the poker community. Players recalled the 2022 false alarm at the WSOP when panic over a loud noise triggered a stampede, and many remembered the 2017 mass shooting nearby at Mandalay Bay. For many, Sunday’s real violence reinforced the ever-present concerns about safety in high-traffic areas during large events.
