The decision is a reversal of the organization’s recent ban on social media personalities
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced a new rewards program aimed at content creators, marking a major policy shift that opens the door for vloggers, streamers, and influencers to cover its events. The move comes after years of debate about how cameras and independent media should be handled at the tables.
Under the new program, poker content creators can qualify for buy-ins and direct cash rewards based on their reach and engagement. To be eligible, creators must have at least 5,000 subscribers and produce poker-related content for at least 60% of their output.
Rewards range from tickets to WSOP Circuit events valued up to $3,000 to bonuses for generating strong viewership numbers. For example, channels that earn one million views can receive $5,000, while 2.5 million views will unlock a $10,000 payout.
Top-tier creators—those with audiences exceeding 250,000 subscribers—will receive customized annual packages, including exclusive perks tied to their profiles. To qualify, creators must also produce a minimum of three episodes totaling 30 minutes or more and agree to avoid featuring competing poker sponsors or wearing rival-branded apparel in their WSOP-related content.
The initiative arrives only months after restrictions at the 56th annual WSOP limited independent filming, frustrating many creators who rely on in-the-moment coverage. By reversing course, the WSOP is signaling a new recognition of how poker content fuels the game’s visibility and growth.
High-profile vloggers and personalities are expected to benefit, with some already appearing in promotional material tied to the launch. Daniel Negreanu, a long-time face of the WSOP, has built a following with his daily video blogs and is seen as a key example of how creator-driven coverage can bring fans closer to the action.
The rewards program will extend to major bracelet events, including the upcoming 2025 WSOP Paradise festival, ensuring that the new wave of poker content has a place alongside the game’s most prestigious tournaments.
