The World Poker Tour (WPT) has announced a new collaboration with Creator Television to launch a unique event that blends poker with online entertainment. The “Creator Poker Championship” will bring together some of the internet’s most recognizable influencers for a televised poker showdown in Las Vegas on December 18. The event aims to merge two massive audiences — poker fans and digital content followers — in a single high-energy production.
The championship will feature a lineup of well-known creators, including Canadian comedian King Bach, Australian-Chinese influencer Wengie, comedian Daphnique Springs, TikTok star Soy, and YouTube personality Jenny Lorenzo. These participants, who have built massive online followings, will bring their personalities and fan bases to the felt, offering viewers a mix of competition, humor, and entertainment.
Creator Television’s co-founder Joe Ochoa described the collaboration as a perfect fit, saying the event adds “an exciting and unique spin” to an already successful global franchise. The show marks Creator TV’s first major step into the sports and gaming world, signaling its ambition to produce more crossover entertainment in the future.
WPT Studios Vice President Loc Sondheim shared similar enthusiasm, calling the partnership “epic” and promising “big personalities, heavy competition, and can’t-miss poker.” The broadcast will be available through major streaming platforms such as Amazon Fire TV Channels, Plex, Sling Freestream, LiveTVx, Xumo Play, and WPT’s own YouTube and Twitch channels.
While no details have been released about buy-ins or prize structures, the event’s real goal seems to be expanding poker’s reach. By bringing influencers to the table, WPT hopes to introduce the game to younger and more diverse audiences who follow these creators online.
