The first half of the schedule is now available, with stops coming around the world
The World Poker Tour (WPT) has officially released the first half of its 2025 schedule, giving poker enthusiasts plenty to look forward to in the coming months. This initial lineup includes events across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, with various locations and tournaments planned through May.
The new season kicks off in Cambodia, providing players with an exciting start to the year in Southeast Asia. For European participants, the WPT Prime Cyprus event in March offers an appealing short getaway in Kyrenia. The first half of the schedule wraps up in Oklahoma, giving North American players a chance to close out this tour segment closer to home.
Adam Pliska, CEO of the World Poker Tour, shared his enthusiasm about the upcoming season, emphasizing the global reach of the events. “With the arrival of the new year, we look ahead to the 23rd season of the World Poker Tour,” he stated. Pliska encouraged poker players worldwide to mark their calendars for these unique and competitive festivals.
For those looking to qualify, WPT Global is offering its innovative Passport Dollar Satellites. These tournaments provide flexible event credits that can be used toward entry into WPT Main and Prime events.
Players can join weekly satellite games, such as the $1,060 satellite for a $12,400 WPT Passport or the $110 satellite for a $1,500 WPT Prime Passport. With sub-satellites starting at just $5, there are accessible opportunities for a wide range of participants. Passport winnings can also cover up to $2,000 in travel expenses.
The release of the 2025 schedule promises another thrilling year of competition and global poker action. With events spanning multiple continents, the WPT continues to deliver world-class tournaments and opportunities for players of all levels.
