The tournament series gets underway on August 14
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) is returning to Atlantic City this month, with Harrah’s set to host a full schedule of tournament action from August 14 to 25. The series will feature 18 official ring events, including a $1,700 buy-in Main Event that guarantees a $500,000 prize pool.
The poker action begins with a $400 No-Limit Hold’em opener offering a $25,000 guarantee, setting the tone for nearly two weeks of tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $400 to $1,700. Just one day later, players can jump into the $400 Mini Main Event, which includes four starting flights and a $200,000 guarantee.
Another early highlight is the $400 Monster Stack, which will give players three starting flights to chase a share of the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The Main Event, which draws most of the spotlight, begins on August 21 with the first of three starting flights. It will conclude on August 24 when a champion is crowned. Given its $500,000 guarantee and $1,700 buy-in, the tournament is expected to attract a strong turnout from both East Coast regulars and traveling circuit grinders.
Aside from traditional No-Limit Hold’em, the series offers some variety. Notable side events include a $400 Big O tournament, a $600 Black Chip Bounty event, and the $400 Grand Master 40/40/40 event, which features separate flights for players above and below 40 years of age. The $400 Double Stack Closer on August 25 will wrap up the Atlantic City stop.
Before the action hits Atlantic City, the WSOP Circuit will make a stop in Cherokee, North Carolina from August 7 to 18, where a $1.5 million guaranteed Main Event will be the main attraction.
Expect a competitive field at Harrah’s as the WSOPC continues its packed 2025 schedule.
