The next big poker tournament series will begin in October
The 2023 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) has released its official schedule. This year, the annual WSOPE festival will again be hosted at King’s Resort Rozvadov in the Czech Republic. It is scheduled to take place from October 25 to November 15 and will include 15 bracelet events.
Each bracelet event in the series has a guaranteed prize pool, with a total of over €15 million ($16.61 million) in guaranteed prize money collectively. That amount is an increase from €12 million ($13.3 million) in 2022.
King’s Resort owner Leon Tsoukernik said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to continue hosting the most prestigious tournament series in Europe, this year offering even higher guaranteed prize pools and new exciting events like the GGMillions, Mystery Bounty, and Closer. Our commitment remains to deliver unmatched service and hospitality to all poker players at King’s.”
This year’s schedule has something for everyone. Buy-ins range from just €350 ($387) to enter the €1 million ($1.1 million) Guaranteed’ Opener’ event to the €1 million Guaranteed No-Limit Hold ’em High Roller buy-in of €50,000 ($55,375). Six events on the series calendar have seven-figure prize pools. In addition, a mystery bounty tournament, an eight-game mixed event, and two Pot-Limit Omaha events are also featured.
The highlight of the series will once again be the WSOPE €10,350 ($11,462) buy-in No-Limit Hold ’em Main Event, carrying the biggest prize pool of €5 million ($5.5 million) guaranteed. Each entrant will have a starting stack of 100,000 chips in the Main Event.
The WSOPE Main Event set a record with 763 entries in 2022, resulting in a final prize pool of $7.24 million to shatter the €5 million guarantee. Omar Eljach of Stockholm, the eventual champion, took home the biggest prize of all, winning €1.24 million ($1.3 million).
