There have been nearly 5,900 tournament entries and more than $19.6 million in prize money awarded in the previous 12 tournaments. The all-time money leader in the series is Jon Turner, who’s cashed $737,858 in his two championships won at The Venetian.
Alan Mastic beat 560 entrants to win the most recent CPPT Venetian main event, taking home the $131,746 prize after winning the $1,600 buy-in tournament.
Besides the CPPT Main Event, another big tournament in the series is the $300,000 guaranteed $1,100 buy-in Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) main event from December 28-30. The two starting flights will merge to play down to a champion on the final day.
