Jesse Lonis took the top spot on the PGT PLO leaderboard
Jesse Lonis has officially taken the top spot at the 2025 PokerGO Tour Pot-Limit Omaha Series, becoming the overall series champion after a dominant run across multiple events. The Las Vegas-based pro delivered consistent results, cashing in five of the 11 tournaments and collecting nearly $800,000 in total winnings.
Lonis wasn’t just cashing in—he was finishing deep. He reached four final tables and placed in the top three every time. His final push came with a third-place finish in the $25,000 championship event, which earned him $210,000 and a critical 126 PGT points. That finish secured his place at the top of the leaderboard, just ahead of Alex Foxen, who nearly caught up after a second-place finish in a $5,000 bounty event.
By the end of the series, Lonis had earned 662 points and received the PGT Gold Cup along with a $10,000 PGT Passport. Foxen came close with $647,185 in winnings and matching Lonis in number of cashes and final tables, but ultimately fell 30 points short.
The 2025 PGT PLO Series attracted 1,167 total entries and awarded over $9.5 million in prize money. Seventy-seven players recorded at least one cash, and 30 of them walked away with more than $100,000. Alongside Lonis and Foxen, Chino Rheem also had a strong showing, finishing third in the points race and earning over $500,000 during the series.
Lonis’ standout performances came in the second half of the series. He finished runner-up in a $15,000 event for over $200,000, then followed that up with a win in another $15,000 event, adding more than $308,000 to his total. With his latest success, Lonis now holds close to $15.8 million in career earnings and has climbed into the top ten of the current PGT season standings.
