The annual event has $150,000 on the table for those who cash
The second annual San Diego Poker Classic returns to Jamul Casino in Jamul, CA, with more than $150,000 in prizes up for grabs for August 10-20, 2023. The popular poker tournament, which is Jamul Casino’s flagship event, is expected to attract players from San Diego County as well as Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange Counties.
The top events this year include the $50,000 guaranteed Weekend Opener and the $100,000 guaranteed San Diego Poker Classic Main Event. There are a total of 14 trophy events, including the following:
August 10-13 – The SDPC $50K Weekend Opener with a $50,000 guarantee and a $300 buy-in.
- Players qualify in a $55 buy-in, where one in 10 players earns a seat at the main table.
- August 12 – PLON Ladies Event with a $150 buy-in
- August 14 – 50+ Seniors NLH with a $150 buy-in
- August 17 – Helix Tag Team NLH, $250 buy-in
- August 20 – $1,100 buy-in High Roller NLH
- August 16-20 – The SDPC $100K Main Event, with a $100,000 guarantee and $600 buy-in
- Satellite seats have an $85 buy-in, with a 10% chance to earn a seat at the main event, or a $145 buy-in with a 20% chance

Jamul Casino opened its poker room in 2019 and hosts assorted weekly tournaments with varying buy-ins and prizes. Launching in 2016, the Jamul Casino is owned and managed by Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation (JIVDC).
