This will be the 17th season for the series, with The Venetian set to be a host this month

The Major Series of Poker: The Tour is set to launch its 17th season with a return to Las Vegas. Action begins this weekend at The Venetian Las Vegas with the $1,600 New Year’s Poker Open, a main event carrying a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The season opener is expected to draw a strong field, with the winner likely earning a six-figure payout. Beyond the cash, champions throughout the 2026 MSPT season will also receive added value in the form of a future tournament seat, giving each victory more long-term significance.

MSPT announced that every main event winner next year will earn an entry into the $3,500 buy-in, $2 million guaranteed MSPT Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open. The championship will be held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and will be part of a larger festival running from November 18 through December 2. The event will also award 1.5 times the usual Player of the Year points.

This marks the first collaboration between MSPT and the Seminole Hard Rock brand, a venue with a long track record of major poker festivals in South Florida. The Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open has been a regular fixture in the region since 2013 and joins other well-known Hard Rock series held each year.

MSPT President Bryan Mileski said the partnership is a major step forward for the tour. The Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open previously ran under the World Poker Tour, where Kevin Nee won the 2025 edition for over $600,000. With a new home under MSPT, the event now becomes a season-ending goal for players starting their run in Las Vegas.
