The tournament series is running from November 19 to 22, with a prize pool of $100,000
The Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut is bringing back its popular Fall Showdown Poker Tournament from November 19 to 22, giving players a chance to compete for a share of a $100,000 prize pool. The event will take place inside the resort’s poker room and is expected to draw both local players and traveling professionals looking to cash in before the holiday season.
The buy-in for the main event is $600, which gives players 30,000 starting chips. An optional $10 add-on for 5,000 extra chips will also be available. The tournament follows a no-limit structure, and the top 12 percent of players from each opening flight will advance to Day 2 and secure a payout. With multiple entry opportunities, competitors can re-enter until the start of Level 9, increasing their chances to make a deep run.
There will be three starting flights — Day 1A on November 19, Day 1B on November 20, and Day 1C on November 21, each beginning at 11:10 a.m. The survivors from those sessions will return for Day 2 on November 22 to battle for the top prize.
For players seeking a cheaper route into the main event, Mohegan Sun is also hosting satellite tournaments earlier in the month. Entry for these satellites is $155, with roughly one in five participants earning a seat in the Fall Showdown.
The casino continues to attract attention beyond poker, with several massive slot jackpots recently awarded, including one worth nearly $2 million on a $5 bet. Its expansive entertainment complex offers far more than gaming, featuring two casinos, luxury hotels, restaurants, and a 10,000-seat arena.
With its strong prize pool, fair structure, and added bonuses like High Hand promotions, the Fall Showdown remains a major highlight on Mohegan Sun’s poker calendar and a prime opportunity for players to end the year with a big score.
