The series will feature a €500,000 GTD Grand Event and diverse side tournaments
The Malta Poker Festival (MPF) has finalized the schedule for its 2026 Spring Edition, which will take place at the Portomaso Casino in St. Julian’s from April 27 to May 4. This year’s series sees the return of a number of events that have proven popular in previous editions.
The cornerstone of the series remains the €550 buy-in Grand Event, which carries a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool. This event features five starting flights, including a specialized Day 1E Turbo, with the final table scheduled for the closing day of the festival.
Beyond the main attraction, the schedule is populated with high-value side events. A notable inclusion is The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC), a €250 buy-in tournament that frequently draws a massive international field.
The schedule also highlights the €1,100 MPF High Roller, catering to the higher-stakes demographic, and the Bounty Hunter Days Malta event, which adds a progressive knockout element to the series. Specialized tournaments like the Ladies First! event and the Seniors Event (50+) are also confirmed, alongside mixed-game offerings such as the H.O.R.S.E. and PLO Knight tournaments.
Satellites for the Grand Event begin on opening night, with buy-ins as low as €60. To maintain a constant flow of action, the Portomaso Casino will run 24/7 cash games in various denominations throughout the eight-day festival.
With the schedule now public, the MPF continues its role as a premier mid-stakes destination, bridging the gap between recreational play and professional-grade tournament structures in the Mediterranean.
