Garrett Adelstein has a rough go at the felt on the popular poker show
Garrett Adelstein returned to the PokerGO stage for another episode of No Gamble, No Future, and despite his reputation as one of poker’s most respected high-stakes players, this session wasn’t his night. Tuesday’s episode featured rough spots, sharp reads, and one brutal runout after another—especially for Adelstein, who found himself on the wrong end of several big hands.
The $200/$400 game showcased plenty of action, highlighted by the ongoing “J4 Game,” which offers a $1,000 bonus from each player if someone wins a hand with jack-four. Justin Gavri jumped at the opportunity, turning two pair with J♥4♣ and getting paid after forcing a fold from Kirk Brown, who had top pair.
The episode, part of Season 7 and hosted by Jeff Platt and Brent Hanks, also featured Andrew Robl, who ran hot from the start. He built his stack past $1.7 million, winning a $230,000 pot with a full house. He later cracked Kirk Brown again, this time when Brown tried bluffing with six-high into Robl’s pocket aces.
Robl’s hot streak cooled off in one of the episode’s biggest hands. Darin Feinstein flopped a flush, and Garrett Adelstein flopped a set. Robl, holding aces, stayed in the mix until Feinstein fired again on the river, prompting folds from both opponents.
Adelstein also four-bet kings against Robl’s ace-king but folded after an ace-heavy flop and a large raise. While he made impressive laydowns, the cards didn’t favor him. His biggest loss came at the end, when his A♥K♠ ran into “Rips” holding pocket kings. A three-way pot led to a $352,000 showdown. Despite running it twice, Adelstein couldn’t catch up and watched the massive pot slip away.
