The poker tournament series is returning to one of its former popular spots
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) is returning to Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City from August 14 to 25, reigniting a legacy that dates back to the tour’s early days. As one of the original stops on the WSOPC when it launched in 2005, Harrah’s remained a fixture on the schedule for 15 consecutive years until the pandemic caused a reshuffling of the circuit calendar.
Now, under the banner of Caesars Entertainment — which owns Harrah’s — the stop makes its long-awaited comeback. While the WSOP brand itself is now owned by GGPoker, Caesars continues to manage the Circuit events hosted at its properties. Gregg Klein, Senior VP and General Manager at Harrah’s, expressed excitement over the series’ return, emphasizing its value in enhancing the resort’s reputation as a premier destination for poker enthusiasts.
Harrah’s Atlantic City has undergone major transformations over the past five years, including full renovations of its hotel accommodations. The property now boasts an upscale entertainment experience featuring attractions like The Pool After Dark, a high-end spa, and a collection of celebrity chef restaurants such as Gordon Ramsay Steak and Bobby’s Burgers.
This event will be part of the final stretch of the 2024/25 WSOPC season, which includes upcoming stops in Tunica, Cherokee, Commerce Casino, and Caesars Southern Indiana. Meanwhile, the flagship WSOP summer series in Las Vegas kicks off May 27, with the $10,000 Main Event starting July 2. The Atlantic City stop is expected to be among the first events of the 2025/26 Circuit season, though the full schedule has yet to be announced.
