The poker tournament series runs through February 16
Global Poker’s Grizzly Games return this January, kicking off a series of poker tournaments with massive guaranteed prizes. Running from January 27 to February 16, the series promises GC 987,000,000 and SC 2,238,000 in total guarantees, making it one of the highlights of the poker calendar. This year marks the eighth edition of the Grizzly Games and is part of the Global Poker Championships (GPC) 2024-25 season.
The Grizzly Games serve as the third championship in the ongoing GPC season, following the Eagle Cup VIII and GOAT VI. The season will culminate in two finals: an online Gold Coin Final and a live Sweeps Coin showdown in Las Vegas. The series leaderboard winner and the Player of the Series, determined by the number of trophies won, will earn coveted spots in these grand finales.
The action began with Opening Freerolls on January 26, offering GC 2,000,000 and SC 5,000 in prizes, and will continue with pop-up freerolls every weekend. The official tournament schedule includes 216 trophy events split between Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin formats. Main events promise significant guarantees, with GC 40,000,000 and SC 200,000 prize pools.
Players can enjoy a range of formats, including No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and special events like mystery bounties and crazy pineapple. Unique tournaments are also set for Groundhog Day and Valentine’s Day, with prizes such as Grizzly avatars, exclusive trophies, and Global Poker merchandise.
