The series is coming down to its final days before concluding on January 7

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas celebrates the new year with its annual DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) tournament series. The action began on December 25 and will resume through January 7. Entrants can earn Player of the Year points in ten of the 19 events, including the $30,000 guaranteed $600 No-Limit Hold’Em EpicStack event that will run on the final day.

Nearly $1 million in guaranteed prize money will be awarded across the entire tournament schedule. The highlight of the series is the Card Player Poker Tour $1,600 buy-in No-Limit Hold ’em $400,000 guaranteed main event, which begins on Thursday, January 4.

The tournament will have three starting flights from January 4-6, each commencing at 11:10 AM local time. Players who survive their starting flights will sit back down at the tables at 11:10 AM on January 7 to play down to a winner.

This is the 13th edition of the CPPT Venetian main event, with close to 5,900 player entries who took home more than $19.6 million in prize money across the previous 12 series. The all-time money leader in the DeepStack Extravaganza series, Jon Turner, has taken $737,858 of the total prizes awarded, with all of it earned after his two title runs at The Venetian.

Alan Mastic navigated a field of 560 entries to win the most recent CPPT Venetian main event in January 2023, cashing $131,746 as the champion of the $1,600 buy-in tournament. Mastic cut a heads-up deal with Marquis Waters, who secured $128,500 for second place.
