The tourney, along with an awards dinner, celebrates those who keep the organization alive
The Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) will host an awards dinner and poker tournament to kick off the new year, which honors all players, staff, volunteers and sponsors who helped make their endeavors possible in 2023. The exciting evening of festivities will be held on January 16, 2024, at the Via Brasil Steakhouse in Las Vegas.
The dinner and a silent auction will begin the activities at 5:30 PM, followed by the poker tournament, which starts at 7 PM. Players will receive 20,000 in starting chips and add-ons, and 10,000 rebuys will be available for $100. The first-place prize for the event will be $5,000, with many other final table prizes, bounties and silent auction rewards.
The cost for those who wish to attend only the dinner and silent auction is $150, while the price for the dinner and entry to the poker tournament is $300. Business casual attire will be the dress code for all night’s events. Players who enter the tournament can also enjoy free massages from Professional Massage Inc. while they play.
Founded in 2014, the CSOP is a nonprofit organization established to manage and promote charity poker tournaments and other activities to raise funds and awareness for deserving causes and charities. The CSOP was founded by poker professional Matt Stout, who is also the organization’s president.
This tournament in January is the 57th edition of the series after a busy string of events to close out 2023. This is also the second Awards Dinner to be hosted by the CSOP. It will directly aid the CSOP in resuming the purchase of more poker tables, TVs, computers, chips and other equipment that its beneficiaries can use for free all year round.
