The View Nightclub at Palms Casino Resort announced it will host the Charity Series of Poker $400 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament to benefit the Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association.
A non-profit organization dedicated to former NHL players, the Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association is focused on growing the sport of hockey while giving back to the community. The association has dedicated its efforts to three primary areas: under-served youth, assistance for the under-nourished community, and first responders.
The tournament will start at 6 PM, preceded by a cocktail hour, silent auction, and a 50/50 cash draw that begins at 4:30 PM. The cocktail hour and auction are open to the public for a price of $100. Participants in the turbo tournament will start with 10,000 chips, with add-ons of 20,000 chips each available for $100. The winner will earn a $10,000 buy-in for the 2024 World Series of Poker Main Event, with many other bounties and final table prizes up for grabs.
Founded in 2014 by poker professional Matt Stout, the Charity Series of Poker is a nonprofit company that organizes and promotes events, including charity poker tournaments, to raise money and awareness for worthy causes and charities.
The October event, the 54th stop of the CSOP series, follows other upcoming Las Vegas affairs, including the $400 buy-in Viva St. Jude event on September 9 hosted by Rose Rooftop at Resorts World and the $300 buy-in All in for Ability event on September 16 at The Stirling Club.
Fans are urged to give back to Las Vegas by coming out and supporting the Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association and building a community of former players and friends together.
