The Mississippi casino is ready to cater to the poker community
The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino has announced the opening of a new poker room just before its biggest event of the year, the Beau Ridge Heater Poker Tournament.
The new poker room is located between the newly-renovated Buffet and the Buffalo Zone, adjacent to the convention level escalators. It features a relaxed playing atmosphere with all the comforts of a modern poker room. It also has a four-window cashier cage and 12 big-screen HDTVs for watching current sports action while sitting at the tables.
“We are thrilled to open our latest gaming amenity specifically for our poker players. Poker now has a permanent home closer to the casino entrance and the base of the conventional level escalators where our major poker tournaments take place, including our upcoming Beau Rivage Heater,” said Adam Nash, Manager of the Beau Rivage Poker Room.
The smoke-free room’s new location stays semi-private but feels comfortable once sitting at the table. It features wood accents, wall millwork and light designs used for wall surfaces extending to the casino floor. The room was designed by Dietz & Co. Architects, who kept Southern hospitality as their priority, as some people say, “This isn’t your grandfather’s” poker room.
“Our poker players have called our temporary poker room home for a number of years. Our new state-of-the-art poker room is part of a larger-scale multi-million dollar project and was definitely worth the wait. With the opening of the new room and likely our largest Beau Rivage Heater on the horizon, we are incredibly excited about poker in the new year and beyond.”
The new poker room is open daily for players from 10 AM to 4 AM, featuring various tournaments and promotions.
