The Asian Poker Tour (APT) is kicking off its 2025 season with the APT Manila Classic at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria from February 7 to 16. This year’s festival will feature 100 tournaments across different formats, with a total prize pool guarantee of PHP143 million (US$2.4 million).
The Main Event will have a PHP60,000 buy-in (US$1,000) and a PHP60 million (US$1 million) guaranteed prize pool. Last year’s event had a PHP85,000 (US$1,500) buy-in and attracted 1,081 players, with Daniel Lee winning PHP15,060,000 (US$258,645) after a deal in heads-up play. Other major events include the APT High Roller and Super High Roller, with winners earning a TWD 320,000 (US$10,700) seat in November’s APTC Championship and an additional $500 for travel expenses.
Cash game enthusiasts will have plenty of action, with No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha tables running stakes from PHP50/PHP100 (US$1/US$2) to PHP2,000/PHP4,000 (US$35/US$70). Open Face Chinese Poker and Badugi games will also be available upon request.
For accommodations, APT has partnered with DK Poker Tour Bookings to offer hotel deals and airport transfers. A stay at the tournament venue, Crowne Plaza, starts at $170 per night, while budget options like Hop Inn Hotel Ortigas Center offer rooms from $40 per night.
Manila’s dining scene provides plenty of options, with restaurants like Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen and Ramen Nagi conveniently located in Robinsons Galleria. For nightlife, The Spirits Library and Mansion Sports Bar in Makati offer high-end cocktails and late-night entertainment.
The APT Manila Classic 2025 is expected to draw a large crowd as players compete for significant payouts and a shot at future APT championships.
