Alex Foxen continues to show off at the felt as he wins one event after another
Alex Foxen is back in the spotlight, earning the Global Poker Index (GPI) Player of the Month honors for April 2025. With a string of strong results and two victories on the PokerGO Tour, Foxen has again shown why he’s a fixture at the top of the live tournament scene.
Throughout April, Foxen collected five cashes, all inside the top 10, totaling $943,485 in winnings. His first major score came early in the month when he took down Event #7 of the 2025 PokerGO Tour Pot-Limit Omaha Series.
That win, in a $15,100 buy-in event, was worth $315,000. Later in the month, he added another trophy to his growing collection by winning a No-Limit Hold’em event at the US Poker Open, pocketing $340,200.
Foxen didn’t stop there. He took second in a $5,000 PLO bounty event, added a third-place finish in another $15,000 event, and closed out the month with a fifth-place result worth over $100,000. These consistent deep runs helped boost his career live earnings to around $45.7 million, according to Hendon Mob data.
His wife, Kristen Foxen, also made headlines with a win in the opening event of the US Poker Open, showing that poker success continues to run deep in the household. She earned $158,025 in that $5,100 No-Limit Hold’em event.
Meanwhile, players like Matthew Wantman and James Collopy also had strong showings in April. Wantman made seven cashes and claimed a US Poker Open title, while Collopy won the $25,000 PLO Series Championship.
Looking ahead, all eyes will be on Foxen during the Triton Poker Series in Montenegro. With his recent run in Jeju still fresh—five cashes there too—he’s setting himself up for another impressive month.
