The latest WSOP Main Event winner is among the names that will appear
Leaf Trading Cards will release its fifth set of poker trading cards in 2024. Las Vegas-based poker representation agency Poker Royalty has partnered with Leaf to release the first edition of cards since 2011. Poker fans will again have a chance to collect their favorite pros in sets that include special inserts and player autographs.
The newest edition of poker trading cards is scheduled to be available in 2024. It will feature 40 popular pros, including the World Series of Poker Main Event champion Daniel Weinman, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu.
“We are thrilled to announce this exciting project with Poker Royalty,” said Josh Pankow, Vice President of Leaf Trading Cards, in a press release. “Our last project together was a decade ago, and we both agreed it has been too long. Even better, we’ve already got Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, and Dan Weinman attached to this project. When this set is released, we will have a ton of great cards covering poker players from all eras, including the newest players people are excited about.”
The first set of Leaf poker trading cards came out in 2006 in partnership with Razor Poker, with additional sets released in 2009 and 2010. The last edition was produced in 2011 under the Leaf Poker banner and featured many poker-playing celebrities, including Brad Garrett, Lou Diamond Phillips, and the late Dr. Jerry Buss, as well as hundreds of professional poker players.
Besides Weinman, Hellmuth, and Negreanu, the remainder of the lineup of poker pros featured in the 2024 Leaf Poker edition will be announced later.
“Like a lot of kids, I collected sports cards growing up. To think I will have my own trading card is crazy to me, and I’m really excited about it,” declared Weinman.
