The tournament series starts in Oklahoma next week
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Series is kicking off 2025 with a packed January schedule that promises excitement for poker enthusiasts. After a short holiday break, the series resumes with stops in Oklahoma, California, Mississippi, and Florida, marking the continuation of the 2024/25 Circuit season, which is set to conclude in May.
The action begins on January 6 at Choctaw Durant in Oklahoma, offering players a two-week festival featuring 18 events. The series starts with a $250 seniors event, boasting a $75,000 guarantee.
Among the highlights is the $1,700 buy-in Main Event, starting January 17, which promises a $1 million prize pool. Other notable tournaments include the $1,000 Monster Stack with a $100,000 guarantee and the $500 Gargantuan event, offering a $300,000 prize pool.
Meanwhile, poker fans on the West Coast can head to Thunder Valley Casino near Sacramento, California, starting January 16. This stop features 16 events, beginning with a $400 seniors event and a $400 Opener carrying a $250,000 guarantee. The $1,700 Main Event, running January 24-28, guarantees $500,000 in prizes, with additional tournaments offering a range of buy-ins and guarantees.
The Circuit then travels to Horseshoe Tunica in Mississippi on January 23. Highlights include a $400 Opener with a $25,000 guarantee, a $600 Mystery Bounty event with $100,000 up for grabs, and a $1,700 Main Event with a $500,000 prize pool starting January 31.
Rounding out the month, the Circuit moves to Harrah’s Pompano Beach in Florida. Players can compete in the $600 Mini-Main Event, featuring a $400,000 guarantee, and the $1,100 Mystery Bounty with $250,000 at stake. The $1,700 Main Event begins February 6, offering a $1 million prize pool. Florida’s stop concludes with the $400 Double Stack Closer on February 10.
