The next round of WSOPC events kicks off as the WSOP Main Event comes to a close
The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) has revealed the initial schedule for its landmark 20th season. Kicking off on July 17, 2024, the very day the WSOP Main Event concludes, the WSOPC promises an exhilarating season brimming with familiar favorites and captivating new venues.
The 2024 portion of the schedule boasts 18 stops, encompassing 13 destinations across the US and venturing to five international locations. Poker aficionados can expect the Circuit to traverse eight US states, offering a diverse range of tournament experiences.
Popular venues like Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina make a welcome return, hosting events in both August and November. Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma, emerges as the most frequent host during this initial stretch, tantalizing players with two separate series.
Other noteworthy stops include Horseshoe Council Bluffs in Iowa (August), Isle of Capri in Florida (October), and a highly anticipated visit to the legendary Commerce Casino in Los Angeles (November).
The prior season concluded memorably at the Commerce Casino, culminating in the $1 million freeroll Tournament of Champions. Dong Meng secured the coveted title, etching his name in poker history as the first gold bracelet winner of the 2024 WSOP and walking away with a life-changing $200,000 prize.
While comprehensive schedules for each stop are yet to be released, they are anticipated to arrive in the coming weeks. Each location will host a minimum of twelve gold ring events, culminating in a $1,700 Main Event (with buy-ins for international Main Events subject to variation).
The thrill extends beyond the live Circuit events. WSOP Online will be amplifying the excitement by offering dedicated Circuit tournaments on a monthly basis, providing players with a wealth of online opportunities to compete and potentially secure their share of the pot.
