September 13 puts more than $4 million in OSS XL guarantees on one Sunday, from a $500K GTD Main Event at $66 to $600K and $500K majors, a $300K PKO and Mini Phil’s Thrill.

There are plenty of ways to describe OSS XL, but Sunday, September 13 makes the point with numbers. The current schedule puts more than $4 million in listed guarantees on the table in a single day, spread across more than 50 tournaments and buy-ins that run from $1.65 to $2,650.

The headline event is not the most expensive one. It is Day 1A of a $500,000 guaranteed Main Event with a $66 buy-in. That tournament shares the day with a $600,000 GTD $630 major, a $500,000 GTD $1,050 event, a $300,000 GTD $2,650 PKO and a special $250,000 GTD edition of Mini Phil’s Thrill. A $66 Main Event sitting on the same Sunday as a $2,650 PKO is a pretty good summary of what the XL part is supposed to mean.

The $500K Main Event Opens at $66

The cheapest of OSS XL’s three Main Events begins Sunday. The direct buy-in is $66, the guarantee is $500,000 and a second starting flight follows on Sunday, September 20. Day 2 is scheduled for September 27.

The structure also gives Day 1 a clear target: play continues until 10% of the field remains. For players who would rather qualify than buy in directly, ACR Poker has $6.60 satellites into the Main Event.

That price point changes the character of the Sunday. A half-million-dollar Main Event is usually the kind of number associated with a much larger direct buy-in. Here, the entry cost sits closer to the middle of the regular online schedule, while the prize pool belongs in the same conversation as the day’s four-figure majors.

If the $66 Main Event is Sunday’s low-cost headline, OSS XL #99 is the opposite kind of attraction. The $630 tournament carries $600,000 guaranteed, the largest single-event guarantee listed for September 13.

Two hours later on the schedule, OSS XL #102 puts another $500,000 guaranteed behind a $1,050 buy-in. Those events give the day two substantial traditional tournament targets before even counting the Main Event, bounty tournaments or the high-stakes Phil’s Thrill family.

There is also a $250,000 guaranteed event at $630 earlier in the day and another $250,000 guarantee at the $215 level. That makes the Sunday less about one marquee tournament and more about having several large prize pools running at once.

The highest direct buy-ins on the OSS XL portion of Sunday’s schedule are both $2,650, but they offer very different games.

OSS XL #101 is a $300,000 guaranteed Progressive Knockout. Every elimination matters because bounty value sits alongside the normal tournament payout structure. Later, Mini Phil’s Thrill returns with a $250,000 guarantee for the September 13 running.

Mini Phil’s Thrill normally sits below the $10,300 Phil’s Thrill as ACR Poker’s $2,650 weekly high-stakes tournament. During OSS XL, the September 13 edition gets a larger $250,000 guarantee, giving the high-stakes crowd another six-figure target without changing the familiar buy-in.

You Do Not Need a Four-Figure Buy-In

The danger with a Sunday full of $500,000 and $600,000 numbers is that the lower half of the lobby can disappear from view. On September 13, that would miss a lot of the schedule.

The $88 PKO has $150,000 guaranteed. The $27.50 Sunday Smash has $100,000 guaranteed. The $16.50 Sunday Splash has $75,000 guaranteed. There are also $109, $55, $33, $22, $17.50, $11, $8.80, $6.60, $5.50, $4.40, $2.50, $2.20 and $1.65 tournaments on the published Sunday schedule.

That spread is one reason the $66 Main Event works so well as the day’s central story. It sits in the middle of the bankroll ladder instead of at the very top. A player can approach Sunday as a micro-stakes session, a mid-stakes grind, a high-roller schedule or some combination of the three.

Bounties, Mystery Bounties and Omaha Keep Moving

The day is not simply 51 versions of the same No-Limit Hold’em tournament. PKOs and Mystery Bounties appear throughout the schedule, including the $300,000 GTD high-stakes PKO, a $150,000 GTD $88 PKO and multiple Mystery Bounties later in the day.

Omaha gets its own stretch as well. The Sunday schedule includes 5-Card PLO8 PKOs and a PLO Mystery Bounty alongside the Hold’em-heavy majors. Players grinding across multiple formats can move from the Main Event and Sunday majors into bounty or Omaha action without leaving OSS XL.

Every cash also has another layer during the series. The OSS XL Leaderboard Competition is awarding more than $60,000 in added cash and tournament tickets across High, Medium and Low buy-in leaderboards through September 29.

The Anniversary Tournament Is Running Beside It

OSS XL is not the only major tournament on ACR Poker Sunday. The $2.5 million guaranteed 25th Anniversary Tournament has another regular Day 1 flight scheduled for September 13 at a $250 buy-in.

The Anniversary event is separate from the $4M+ OSS XL Sunday total, so its $2.5 million guarantee should not simply be added to Sunday’s number. It is an ongoing July-to-September tournament with 41 Day 1 flights and a cumulative-stack format. Qualify more than once and those qualifying stacks are added together for Day 2.

That gives players two very different multi-day choices on the same Sunday: begin the $500K GTD OSS XL Main Event for $66, or continue building toward the Anniversary Tournament’s September 28 Day 2 for $250.

September 13 is only the second Sunday of a series that runs through September 29. The two larger OSS XL Main Events still begin later in the month: $2.5 million guaranteed at $2,650 and $2 million guaranteed at $1,050, both with Day 1A on September 20 and Day 1B on September 27.
