Sunday Recap: $12.5 Million Venom Continues

The $12.5 Million Venom, our biggest tournament ever, continued yesterday with Day 1C. Players not only logged on in droves to take advantage of this massive event, but we also hosted several Venom Specials and our signature Sunday tournaments.

$750,000 Venom Special Sunday High Roller

1,248 entrants played in Sunday’s $750K GTD Venom Special HR. In the end, this $630 buy-in tourney, which had 162 paid places, had a modest $1,200 overlay. The top three:

$300,000 GTD Venom Special PKO

With a $215 buy-in, Sunday’s $200K GTD PKO tournament had no trouble attracting a crowd. Thanks to 1,520 entrants in all, the prize pool hit $304,000 which included $152,000 in bounties.  Here’s the top three:

1. Brisa22 > $20,327 + $18,576 bounty
2. raphapertect > $20,327 + $5,263 bounty
3. GokuPayer > $14,735 + $6,064 bounty

$300,000 GTD Warm Up

Our $300K Warm Up was as warm as our poker community anticipated with 3,003 entries. This popular $109 buy-in tournament ended up with a final prize pool of $300,300. Congratulations to the 383 players who cashed. Here’s the Top 3 after a two-way final table deal:

$150,000 GTD Sunday Special 

With 821 entries in all, Sunday’s $150K unlimited re-entry tourney was nearly 10 percent more special than advertised. 110 players got paid in this $215 buy-in event, which had a final prize pool of $164,200. The top three:

3. BlueBeagle88 > $17,516

$150,000 GTD Venom Special Euro High Roller

European players and early risers didn’t waste any time yesterday. Our $200K GTD tourney featured 363 players, which means the final prize pool hit $217,800. In all, 46 players got paid in this $630 buy-in tourney. The top three:

3. Qd6d > $25,931
