A development project in Manchester cleared a hurdle as local officials approved a large-scale casino expansion
The Manchester Zoning Board of Adjustment has unanimously greenlit a comprehensive expansion plan for Revo Casino following a meeting in April 2026. This ambitious New Hampshire project involves the construction of a significantly larger gaming facility on the existing site and two neighboring lots on South Willow Street adjacent to the planned venue.
The expansion required several variances from the city’s zoning ordinances, primarily due to the unique security and operational needs of a gaming establishment. Unlike traditional shopping centers, the new Revo Casino layout features limited entry points and specific window designs intended to maintain a secure interior environment.
These modifications were necessary to reconcile the city’s modern form-based zoning codes with the functional realities of a high-security entertainment venue. Developers also secured permissions for increased lot coverage and specialized signage to accommodate the grander scale of the new facility.
Infrastructure improvements are a central component of the approved plan, highlighted by the creation of a boulevard-style entrance designed to alleviate local traffic congestion. To facilitate this, the casino is donating a portion of its land to create a fourteen-vehicle drive-thru lane for the adjacent Dunkin’ Donuts and Sunoco location.
The gas station will also see a reduction in fuel pumps to improve on-site vehicle circulation. Property owner Dick Anagnost emphasized that the coordinated renovation of these adjacent properties will create a cohesive look that modernizes the district while improving public right-of-way spaces with new greenery and floral ornamentation.
