One of the most striking provisions in the bill is the prohibition on celebrities and public figures promoting or endorsing online gaming apps connected to betting. Officials believe this step is necessary to protect younger audiences, who are considered most at risk of being influenced by high-profile personalities. Tech giants like Google and Meta have also been drawn into the conversation, with Google providing testimony on its actions to block illegal gambling ads.
