The WSOP continues to award bracelets and prize money

Poker players from around the world are cashing in at this year’s event

In just 24 live bracelet events and five online bracelet events, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2023 has already distributed over $62.4 million in prize money. With players winning titles daily, the series has proven to be a successful endeavor, evidenced by the results of recent events.

By overcoming a massive field of 2,454 players, Rafael Reis from Brazil emerged victorious in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em six tournament. His triumph earned him $465,501 in prize money as well as his very first gold bracelet. Interestingly, Reis joined an exclusive group of just 19 individuals from his hometown who have won a WSOP title.

Reis has hit a career high point with his latest tournament, which overshadows the $288,101 he won from placing third in the 2021 WSOP $1,500 competition. With his prize money from previous tournaments, he has accumulated almost $2 million in total winnings.

As the registration for the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha eight-max event came to a close, the number of entries reached a staggering 2,017, resulting in a prize pool of $1,795,130. Canadian player Stephen Nahm emerged victorious, taking home both the majority of the cash prize and a coveted gold bracelet.

The champion from Vancouver, BC, emerged victorious with a total of $267,991 in winnings. Before this tournament, he had only received a modest $4,332 payout from his participation in the 2018 Wynn Summer Classic event.

For WSOP.com players residing in Nevada and New Jersey, a grand total of 20 online bracelets await their grasp this year. By June 11, the tournament had already awarded its fifth bracelet. The $400 No-Limit Hold’em tourney had a field of 1,488 entries, which amassed a total prize pool of $882,360. Gary ‘SaqonNYG26’ Belyalovsky emerged as the winner, earning his first bracelet and $121,854 in prize money.
