The win earned Lambrecht a top prize of over $1 million and bragging rights

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) saw continued excitement with its $10,000 Mystery Bounty event, attracting 965 participants and generating an $8,974,500 prize pool. $3,000 from each entry was allocated to a bounty prize pool, totaling $2,895,000. Players who achieved knockouts from day 2 onward could claim bounties ranging from $5,000 to $250,000.

Matthew Lambrecht emerged victorious, earning $1,018,933 and his first WSOP gold bracelet. This win marked Lambrecht’s largest career payday, significantly surpassing his previous high of $238,079 from a recent third-place finish at the Wynn Summer Classic. With this triumph, Lambrecht’s career earnings now approach $2.6 million. He also gained 2,280 Card Player Player of the Year points and 1,100 PokerGO Tour points, propelling him into the top ten of both rankings.

Notable players who cashed included Shaun Deeb, Elior Sion, Jay Farber, Chris Brewer, Adrian Mateos, and Dan Shak. The final day began with Tauan Naves leading and Lambrecht close behind. Naves eliminated William Jia in ninth place before Lambrecht began his knockout streak, starting with Robert Heidorn in eighth place.

Naves continued to dominate early by busting Andrei Konopelko in seventh, but Lambrecht maintained his momentum by eliminating Vladimir Minko in fifth and Simas Karaliunas in fourth. Naves himself was ousted in third place by Lambrecht, who entered heads-up play against Damarjai Davenport with a substantial chip lead. Lambrecht ultimately defeated Davenport, whose runner-up finish earned him $678,707, marking his largest tournament score.
